What’s looking good

I was out last night and sort of marveling at how many things are blooming and coming up.  I got a nice shot of our young but beautiful Red Splendor Crabapple.

And a shot of something we discovered a few weeks ago–we have no idea what it is, but it seems to be fairly happy. . . anybody out there recognize this guy?  Tree? Shrub? Weed?

The Rembrandt tulips in the backyard are also looking stunning at the moment.

As I mentioned on Monday, it’s quite a work-week for me this week, so I’m not promising a Friday blog entry. . . I will do what I can.  But after Commencement is over on Sunday my life will calm down and I will try to put a little more time into my blogging.  Thanks for reading anyway! :)

Hmmm. . . I’ll have to check that out. The tiny little flowers on it are yellow (you can’t see them too well in the photograph) and the stems are pretty woody–I’ll have to see if I can find some photos of wild cucumber online. But thanks for the tip! 😉

Could it be a currant or gooseberry plant?
