We had a great weekend at the lake–very relaxing and rejuvenating. Sometimes spending a little down-time with family is just what we need to feel re-charged and ready to go.
The weather was iffy–kind of rainy off and on all day Saturday and Monday, but Sunday was gorgeous and we spent some time just sitting in the sun.
I got to check out the new vegetable beds and finish planting them with my mom.
I also acquired a wonderful new skill–my brother-in-law taught me how to clean fish. I don’t fish, and neither does Trevor, but I’ve always sort of felt that any kind of accomplished cook really needs to know that kind of thing. So I was excited to learn, and Roger was a very patient teacher.
All in all, it was a great weekend–it’s always hard to come back to work after a break, but I know we’ll be back at the lake place soon.

Those fish guts make good fertilizer too!
That’s what Roger keeps telling me!
