. . . and more pumpkins

I know I probably sound like a broken record here, but I just think there is no easier way for some bright color in the gardens this time of year than putting out pumpkins.

It’s amazing all the different kinds you can find nowadays, too–it seems like every year there’s some new cool type of pumpkin being grown.

This past weekend we found spots in the front gardens for all the pumpkins we’d bought the weekend before (these things can’t be rushed, you know). :)

I’m really happy with the way it turned out–I love the way the colors of the pumpkins bring out the colors of the mums, and vice-versa.

I saved my three favorites for the front steps–I just LOVE these sage green and sort of beige ones!

Fall is such a beautiful season; even though it’s the end of the gardening year, I’m usually ready.  But that doesn’t mean I’m anxious for winter to start–fall could last a very long time as far as I’m concerned. :)
