Haha–yeah, I wouldn’t believe it either, if I were you.
But I promise this will be the last pumpkin post for a while, in case you’re all getting sick of them (although how you could ever get sick of pictures of pumpkins I will never know).
As I was turning down my street after work the other day, I was struck, once again, by the bright colors of the pumpkins and mums that are decorating the yard. In spite of the fact that almost nothing is blooming anymore (besides the mums, of course), our front yard is dotted with bright spots of color.
I didn’t have a photo of this cool striped pumpkin for my last post, so I am remedying that now.
I also love this little area by the front steps, with the orange-y mums and the little goldenrod plant that sort of shoots out from in amongst the mum blossoms.
I also decided to decorate the side yard with a few orange pumpkins this year, in spite of the fact that probably no one besides me will see or notice. . . .
I love the way this little corner looks, too, with the cute little pumpkins added to the scene.
Ok, so enough pumpkins for now. . . this weekend I am looking forward to enjoying more beautiful weather–and I really need to dig and taste-test the last of my beets, because my report is due on October 1st. So I will report on that next week, I promise (for those of you who have been waiting anxiously for the beet report).
