I just had to share a photo of the Amaryllis on my desk–I can’t believe how much it’s grown in the past two weeks since I potted it up!
(I took this photo with my phone, so my apologies for the poor quality.)
This flower has attracted quite a few visitors to the office–people who are just walking by and have to come and in and look more closely at these huge, bright red flowers.
I had no idea it would be such a conversation piece when I put it there. 
You may notice that it has another bud that’s on a stem about half the height as the one that’s currently blooming. I’m hoping that, between the two stems, I will have blooms for a couple of weeks at least.
If not, I’ve got another one waiting in the wings. . . .
It’s hard to believe the original one looked like this a few short days ago. I had forgotten how big and beautiful Amaryllis flowers are–I will most definitely be doing this again next fall!
