A touch of spring

A month or so ago someone came around to our office selling daffodils.  I’ll be honest here and admit that I haven’t the slightest idea what the cause was–it was something worthwhile. :)

I ordered a bouquet of cut daffodils and a little pot of planted bulbs–a petite variety called Tete a Tete–I was familiar with the variety because I have quite a few planted in my garden.  I decided to spring for both kinds because I figured with two different kinds I might be able to enjoy a slightly longer period of blooms.

They came three days ago, the little flower buds still tightly closed. This is what they look like now.

They are just SO bright and beautiful–the picture really doesn’t do them justice. I’m so glad I ordered them! They really are a touch of spring, which I feel like I need at this point.

Is there anything more cheerful in March in Minnesota than a bright yellow daffodil? :)
