We’re making progress. Lots of progress. I mentioned last week that we’re working on a fairly big (for us) home improvement project–painting the living room and dining room. I feel like we JUST painted in there, but actually it’s been more than 10 years since it’s been done, and it REALLY needed it.
And we’re on the home stretch. I will have a couple of before and after pics later this week, but for today I just had to share something sort of amusing.
So, because I wanted to have pictures that showed the project from start to finish (don’t worry, I won’t make you look at all of them), I’ve been snapping pictures all along as we go, just to show the progress we’re making.
And I was showing someone this one, and I noticed something I didn’t like.
My fridge looks really messy. I’ve always liked all the little photos in cute little frames that are on my fridge, and they’ve been there for years. Occasionally I add one or change something, or “neaten” it up a bit, but basically it’s looked the same for the last 15 or 20 years.
And now, seeing it sort of out of the corner of my eye like this, I decided it was time for a change.
So, yesterday, while Trevor was doing this:
I did this:
Wow. Was it dirty. When I took all the little pictures off, I could see the outlines of where they were. . . pretty embarrassing. But it cleaned up real nicely, and now I feel like I have a new fridge to go with my freshly painted living room.
More updates to come. . . tonight we might actually finish up. I’ll keep you posted.
