It’s been a busy week! Yesterday I left town early for a tour of the Concordia Language Villages with some coworkers–we got on the bus at 7 a.m. and got back to town and off the bus about 6:15 p.m. Then I had to go to the grocery store, the liquor store, and the local Target to pick up all the things we needed to get ready to go to the lake tonight.
Then we had to quick plant some irises that a coworker of Trevor’s gave us, then a quick supper and it was 9:00 already. (My bed time.)
So, I feel kind of rushed–we are both working a full day today and then off to the lake for the weekend. I feel like it might actually be a good time to stay home and get some yard chores done, but it’s hard to give up lake time with family.
Things are looking really good–the bright pink yarrow is starting to bloom now and, since it’s sort of aggressive, it’s everywhere! But it looks beautiful right now. I will take some photographs when we get back from the lake on Sunday–I hope they will still be looking great at that point.
This is one of my favorite pots this year–I just sort of put whatever I had left at that point in there, and I love the way it turned out. I just love purple and orange together–it really pops!
Have a great weekend! I promise I’ll try to come up with something a bit more edifying on Monday.
