I went out to check on the garden the other night, and, while I was out there, I picked the tomatoes that were ready.
I wouldn’t say it’s a bountiful harvest. . . but it’s something. I’m sure we will have many, many tomatoes in the end–there are dozens of green ones on all the plants. But, obviously, it’s been a strange summer weather-wise and they’re just behind.
I’m hoping we will eventually have so many that we have a hard time using them all. I guess at this point, we need to be hoping that the tomatoes will actually be close to finishing before we get a hard frost!
Every summer is an adventure in gardening.
