A bright spot

I’ve been out of commission for a while.  If you’re a regular reader and were disappointed, my apologies. :)

My daughter graduated from my alma mater (where I was also employed) on Sunday, May 4.  On Tuesday, May 6, I found out my job was cut–part of a series of budget cuts due to the nationwide trend of lower enrollment. I worked there for 12 years, and I still can’t quite believe it.

So, my blog was not the first thing on my mind. But, I took a few days to just do nothing, and am now trying to get back to something like a “normal” routine.

I did have a chance to plant pansies in my front window boxes the week before graduation, and as the weather is still rather gloomy, they are definitely a bright spot.

Anyway, I’m back at it, I think. :)

Sorry about your job cut. I know it can be quite devasting emotionally as well as financially. Hope you find a new job soon.
